Should have an outside baby by the weekend!!

I went to L&D last night around midnight because I had been having painful contractions all day, and by about 1030 they were 5-7 min apart. The nurse checked me and said I was 70% effaced and 2 cm dilated. They put me on the monitors for about 30 min then had me walk for another 30. After my walk the contractions were 3 min apart and hurt SO bad I almost cried. The nurse checked me again and I made NO progress. I was so bummed. They had me stay another hour and checked again still nothing. So they sent me home. The nurse said she does not think Ill make it past Friday, so sometime today or tomorrow I will hopefully be holding my baby boy! Im so excited.

I'm going in for an induction tomorrow night!  So I will have mine too!!!

This sounds like me. I started having contractions last night at 7:30, between 3-5 minutes apart...so I went to the hospital. I was only 2 cm and 40% effaced so I was sent home with instructions to go home, relax and come back in the morning. Well I got back in the morning, still having contractions, stayed at the hospital for two hours, was dilated to 3 and effaced 70% but not making any more progress, so for the second time I was disappointingly sent home.

 

So, I know how you feel. I'm still having them, too! I'm trying to wait til my water breaks or something really drastic happens. This is driving me nuts!
