What are they? I am having a hard time finding any names that I love esp girl ones. I'm def not into the top 50 names or even 100 on the SS list. I would love some suggestion.
My name is Mariah. Not unheard of but I was the only one in my high school. I would also like to go on record I was named waaayy before Mariah Carey came on the scene.
Adrianna, Opal, Carissa, Joanne, Alaina, Lorraine, Meredith, Sa.tya, Kadence, Sondra, Casia, Ellen, Ka.hlia, Keri.yae, Monica, Rita, Quina, Sally, Shana, Tiar.e, Vanessa, Whitney (I put a period in the super-rare names for privacy)
Granger, Bazil, Dennis, Hamilton, Wesley, Scott
"Ethnic" names include Far.iba, Parvan.eh, Br.anko, Fe.ini, Ral.uca
Kensley (this is becoming popular as a Kinsley - but not when she was named) Kearstyn Kaleigh (gained in popularity, though, but not when she was named) Lexi (not a nn - just her name) Mina
ETA: Annette (not strange, but I don't think it's that popular)
names we liked that we didn't find too popular Scarlet(dd but I has been gaining lately ;( Tess-dd, Wren, Willa, Magnolia, Mathilde, Maren, Livia, Vivienne, Sloane, Erin, Talia , Emerson, Mabel, Georgia, Lydia
I love the name Amaya, and that would have been our girl name, but we are having another boy. Maya is becoming popular though, so it might get confused with that.
"Normal day, let me be aware of the treasured day you are. Let me learn from you, love you, bless you before you depart...let me hold you while I may."
There was a thread maybe a week or so ago where people listed the most frequently-appearing as well as the most unusual names on their facebook friends list. You may want to search for that.
My name is Risa, which is not even remotely on the top 1000 (it briefly made an appearance in the 900s in the 1960s).
We're naming our son Lachlan. For a girl I LOVE Lenora, Nora for short (my DH hates it of course, lol). My SD is named Korina & my name is Shawna. Everyone knows my name but I've probably only met about 15 others in my entire life. We also loved Siri (sear-ee, not sur-ee) for a girl and Remy, though that is definitely traditionally a boy's name. I'm obsessed with the name Nolan too, but DH vetoed that before iI was even pregnant, haha

My name has been growing in popularity but I never had another Gianna in a class with me all the way through college.
Some cousins are:
Chira (same pronounciation as Kira/Keira, but it's the Italian phonetic spelling)
Mariesa (Mah-ree-suh - it's pretty much Marisa pronounced with Italian/Spanish phonics)
Marta - love this name!
Constance (Connie)
I also remember a girl named Dania in college (Dah-nya) and I worked with a Marja (Mar-juh) I like them both.
My name is (obvs) Tisha and it's not short for anything. It's just Tisha. My mom is Sylvia which isn't very common these days.
