I can't believe it but I am finally doing it! I am a bit excited and I hate it when I get this way - I truly believe that HOPE is a double-edged sword.
I spoke with my RE and my AMH is now 0.3 (I thought it was lower). We will be doing a flare protocol and I started bcp yesterday. I am kind of stressed because of the fear of over-suppression but she believes that will not be a problem. She also managed my expectation in that I should not expect more than 4 follies but she is determined to get me that rockstar!
I believe this will be it for us - I'm getting old and will hit a benchmark b-day next year. I am also emotionally and financially drained so we will see.
I should be starting my stims around the last week in November! I am looking forward to getting this party started with my cycle buddies!! Where ya at?? :-)

February 2011 - IVF #1 w/ ICSI =

I have a question for you about the quality of your embies last time. What type of grades did they get? It really pisses me off that my quality is so bad on top of getting only 2 each time. It's just the double-whammy. I'm curious what your RE is doing differently to try to get rockstar quality. Are you doing a low dose stim? Tell me everything!

How exciting! I hope this is your lucky cycle and you get a beautiful take home baby.
If I'm correct about ovulation, I should be getting my period within the next week. If AF arrives timely, I'll be starting BCP for IVF #4. If AF doesn't arrive timely, I have to wait to start BCP after another cycle since ER/ET can't fall in late Dec when lab is closed. I really hope we are cycle buddies!
P.S. Where are you cycling? Are you at your same RE or a new place? If you don't want to share on the board, can you PM me. I'm at MFS.

Dx: DOR, Endo, APA+ (really high beta 2 glycoprotein antibody and high everything else tested), heterozygous MTHFR mutation, positive for lupus anticoagulant, high FSH, low AMH and both tubes blocked (per HSG on 3/8/11)
IVF #1 - long lupron (with HGH, intralipids, lovenox and BA); 4 retrieved, 3 fertilized; ET 2 blasts and 1 frozen = BFN
IVF #2 - a version of antagonist with EPP (with HGH, intralipids, lovenox and BA); 6 retrieved, 4 mature, 3 fertilized, 2 blasts and 1 frozen blast transferred on day 5 = BFN.
IVF #3 April was postponed to May, May was canceled. June/July was canceled. Had a cyst aspiration and then began IVF #3 in August. ER on 8/22; ET on 8/24 with AH. +HPT on 9/5. Beta #1 (11dpo) = 3; Beta #2 (15dpo) = 29; Beta #3 (17dpo) = 60; Beta #4 (19 dpo) = 118. Heartbeat at 6 weeks 6 days =132. Lil is here!

My dear IF twin! Uggh - I am so sorry about your embie quality. Are you going to POAS??
Is it bad that I can't remember the "grade" of my embies...or maybe I just blocked it out! :-) It has been well over a year. I believe one was an 8 cell and the other stopped growing the day of transfer. My lab doesn't really give you a "grade" per se, which I think is weird but I also didn't ask for it. As to what my RE is doing, I am expecting a call from her today so that I can get the full details. I have gotten all info regarding this protocol second-hand from the nurse.
However, my RE just came back from a conference and after doing some research wants to do a (I think Microdose) Lupron flare. The nurse kept calling it a Lupron flare. We've done a down regulated Lupron, antagonist, and a modified antagonist protocol in the past, - all with EPP except for the Lupron...and all without a BFP. I guess because those did not work in the past, she wants to try something new. I pray this does the trick!
Sorry this is somewhat vague but once I get more info, I will absolutely update you. I, too, am interested in she thinks this will work better as opposed to trying the antagonist again.

Thank you for the well wishes!! I am cycling at the same place ( IU downtown). I have had opinions from SIRM and Jarrett (in Indy). All pretty much told me the same thing. I was thinking of moving (and actually getting yet another opinion from MFS) but now I have a "history" with her and I think that is worth something so I am staying with her. And even though she's old-school, her treatments were not any different than what the others recommended.. I also like that it is very convenient for me. It is exactly 15 minutes from my office to hers!
Don't you hate that the holidays come and put a kink in your potential cycle?? I hope AF comes so that you can get it started before the end of December. I really wish you much luck!

That is important to go where you are comfortable. And yay for 15 minute commute! My old RE in IL was 5 minutes from my old office, which was uber convienent.... I got BFNs there, but the convienence was nice. Now I drive 40 minutes to the opposite side of town, but I feel it is the best decision and totally worth it. Fingers crossed for all of us.
