Flushable Liners & Septic

Are there liners that are safe for septic systems?

We cannot flush tampons, kleenex, wipes (like cottonelle etc) so I was wondering if flushable wipes were more for city sewage... or if there is a brand that is guaranteed safe for septic systems?

  • I wouldn't flush them. But I've seen a number of people w/problems from flushing them in general, so I wouldn't flush even if I weren't on septic.  I think you're just asking for trouble. The items you mentioned really shouldn't ever be flushed even though they are "flushable" (ie tissues, tampons).

  • If you have trouble with Kleenex, definitely don't try liners.
