Once hubby and I found out that we were expecting, we started thinking of names and landed on two that we really like very quickly (I'm only 10 weeks right now). We have settled on:
Hunter Anthony (boy)
Harper Grace (girl)
I think they sound cute together, and apparently Harper is growing in popularity.... I swear, I chose it BEFORE I found out that is what Victoria Beckham named her girl!
When I told my friend, I simply texted her the names and asked what she thought and she said, "Love Hunter, not sure about Harper".... just curious if this is the consensus or if more people like it!
Re: Do you like my girl name?
I am a Hunter fan.
I am NOT a Harper fan.

Hunter is meh.
Both way too trendy for me and Grace is the new Elisabeth IMO can't find a MN let's go with Grace
I must say I love Grace as a first name
This exactly. My best friend has a son named Hunter Thomas and his brother's name is Colten. Love it, because he's so cute and I have a positive association.
I don't like Harper because it's not girly or pretty to me at all. Reminds me of "harpy" (which is not a good thing) and the meaning stinks, sorry*
Dislike: Harper
Eh: Hunter, Anthony
Like: Grace

Harper is NMS but I like it for a girl. I suspect it will SOAR in popularity in the next few years- just since I've been coming to this site for the last several months it has gotten more popular, plus with the Beckhams using it, I'm sure it will get very popular. If you don't mind the popularity go for it!
love is for every her, love is for every him, love is for everyone
There are thousands of Harper Grace's running around - and I don't get the appeal.
Hunter Anthony is fine.
You might find that many women don't like the name Harper simply because of how popular it has become. It was on my list, and even though we ended up with boys, I wouldn't have been able to use it because it is so popular. I would have wanted my daughter to be the only one (or one of the only ones) in her class with her name, and not one of five (or more) children.
As for Hunter, I'm really not a big fan of occupational names for first names. To me, a hunter is someone who kills animals, not a child's name. That being said, I really do like Anthony.
However, as pp said, to each their own!
