Feeling hopeful & excited today so I thought I would post a little update! Today we signed a ton of IVF paperwork at the RE office and picked up birth control, which was perfect timing because guess who just started! <--- this girl! lol. Now, lets see if I can STAY on the birth control this time and not wimp out like last month. BRING IT ON IF!! Does anybody know if taking the BC at a different time of day helps with the nausea? I was taking it at night and would feel sick from about 10am to 4 pm. I'm thinking maybe I will try taking it in the morning instead. TIA for thoughts! Happy Halloween!

Sounds exciting! Good luck with BCP and the IVF! I've always taken my BCP at night but never had nausea from it. I even used to take 2 pills a day! My good friend gets sick from bcp though so she is on the nuva ring and has no problem with that. Is the nuva ring an option?

Before we started TTC, I was on Nuva ring and loved it, but unfortunately, the RE says I have to take oral BC. In fact it has to be Loestrin 24. I will just suck it up! lol.
Thanks for all the well wishes, I am really excited!

Yay, that has to be exciting. When I first started taking BCP for its intended purpose I had really bad nausea and nervous stomach, to the point I couldn't eat. My doctor had me take something like Prevacid and said that it would subside after my body got used to the added hormones. Maybe you could try taking an over the counter anti-acid medicine, but I would definitely talk to the RE first to make sure it is okay.
