Had The "What If Talk"

What if IUI#3 Dont work??? We will find out on Sunday but need to know what to do next. IVF it is and we will be OOP for it. I am petrified of these intramuscular injections if it comes to it..I hear horrible things about it. I will endure any pain to start my family, just nervous. Hopefully I am getting all paranoid for nothing and my third time will be a charm.

Me-Diagnosed With PCOS - Hubby-Has Super Swimmers :)
TTC#1 Since March 2011
March/April 2011 - 150mg Clomid + Ovidrel + TI = BFN
May 2011 & June 2011 - 150mg Clomid = No Response
July 2011 - Gonal-F + Ovidrel + IUI#1(8/1/11)= BFN
August 2011 - Gonal-F + Ovidrel + IUI#2 (8/30/11)=BFN
September 2011 - BREAK NEEDED DUE TO ENLARGED OVARIES :(
October 2011 - Gonal-F + Ovidrel + IUI#3 (10/23/11) = BFP!!
Beta#1(11/7/11)=250 Beta#2(11/9/11)=487 Beta#3(11/17/11)=6500

    Sorry. I know how it stinks to mourn something before the end is there or before the next step begins. 

    If it's any consolation at all I've never had to do an IM shot after 2 rounds of IVF. It's really not painful. You can do it if you have to!

    Oh sweetie, I remember that talk.  You hang in there and honestly the PIO shots are not bad at all.  I was so worried about them, but they don't hurt while getting them and then next day the muscle is just sore.  I am getting one every evening and it really isn't bad.  

    Huge hugs to you and fx that you don't have to move on.

    The "what if" talk is never fun.  But it's good to have both of you talk about your feelings and make sure you are both on the same page.  I hope you don't need to have any more conversations like that, and your next conversations of "what if' involve more a "what if it's a boy, what if it's a girl, what if it's twins" type line of questions.

    Fingers crossed that IUI#3 does work, and that all your worries are for nothing!

    Hoping you don't have to move on! I'm nervous about the IM shots, too, but like you said, we'll do anything. I'm sure the first will be the worst and it'll be easy from there.
