I'm trying to get all my post pregnancy gear ready to go. I bought a couple of nursing bras, but I'm not sure about the nursing tanks... How is this going to work when I'm BFing two? I know it might not be possible right away, but I'd like to get to tandem nursing as soon as it works out. Do the nursing tanks come all the way down? Is there a better clothing option? Do I just need to take off my top all together?
Appreciate your advice and experience. If any particular brands/styles worked best for you, please recommend. I just can't envision how this is all going to go down...
Thanks!
Re: nursing tanks?
I literally lived in my nursing tanks for months. Actually, I will admit that I still wore them to bed this summer because I like that they are a tank but give a little support. I had a few nursing bras but was never a big fan of them. They weren't very comfortable and didn't open enough for me. When you unhook the tanks they come pretty far down and you can def. tandem nurse with them. But I think for the first few weeks I was just walking around with them unhooked and my boobs hanging out all the time.
I like the Target ones...and they are pretty affordable (but I have pretty small boobs and was only a C cup when nursing).
Both sides snapped down on all of mine.
Honestly, at the beginning, it was easier to be topless or wear some kind of zip down shirt or a robe.
Also, I never really found a tank that I loved. They shirt part always rolled up and it made me nuts. Also, they squeezed my boobs (which got HUGE while nursing), and that was uncomfortable.
This.
I LIVED in those for 10 months. I'm not sure about with multiples, but my guess is that they might be easier than a bra, they sure were with my singleton.
I live in my target nursing tanks, and I have no issues what-so-ever tandem nursing in them. I put one on within an hour of getting back to my room after my c/s and haven't been without one on since.
I have no issues neither.
Thanks for the advice - I might try out the target ones first - looks like there are some that get a 5 star review for like $11...
I have the Target nursing tanks and love them too. I am small chested when not pregnant and medium when pregnant and nursing but I borrowed my target tanks from my SIL and she's bigger chested - they worked for both of us.
I ordered a gap nursing tank and don't like it - it's super thin and can only be used under something. Generally I wear the Target tanks with yoga pants and an open cardigan - the Gap tank is too revealing.
I don't have a Bravado tank but I do have their nursing bra and LOVE it.
this is me as well and I plan on doing the same with the twins.
