Ok, I know some people are really rigid about formulas and switching. And I'm just not sure what to do right now.
DS is almost 10 months--takes 24 oz a day in three bottles. He started on Good Start when he was born, then went to Good Start Soy, then Alimentum (for reflux colic issues), then went to Similac Advance when he outgrew his reflux issues. He has been on that for months now.
Similac just made a new "Early Shield" formula that is different than regular Advance. I was going to keep him on the regular stuff, but the stores are all switching over and now you can hardly find the original stuff...just the Early Shield. I think the ES is a bit more expensive, plus I am going to have to give him a new formula.
So here's where I feel torn. If I have to give him a new formula anyway, I'm thinking of switching to the Kirkland brand from Costco. I know people who have used it--they swear by it. He has probably another 2 months or so on it so it seems silly to switch, but it is SO much cheaper.
Right now we pay 100 a month for the Similac, and the Kirkland brand would be 38 a month. Seriously--70 dollars saved a month? Seems too good to pass up. Plus I have to buy diapers for two...that money could go towards that instead.
He eats everything, doesn't have issues. I'm thinking of doing it. But then I think it's silly for two months...then again, seems harmless.

Almost all of the store brands are made by PBM Nutritionals. Formula is strictly regulated.
From my coupon board:

The same company makes the store brand formula for a TON of stores.

For Parent's Choice (Walmart) and Bright Beginnings formula coupons:
Call this telephone number - 1-800-410-9629 and ask for formula coupons.
They will sign you up and send you all sorts of great coupons. The wonderful thing about this is that you can call every 30 days and they will replenish your coupons.
It is pretty valuable information, as people sell the telephone number on Ebay.

Thanks Lari!
I am on the phone as I type for more coupons! I need all the help I can get.
I'm so glad to read that so many people say they would switch. I might do it!
