I asked during the hospital tour if the nurses actually see a correlation between full moons and births, and the answer was a big Yes, the same with drops in pressure.
I am hoping the drop in pressure induces labor!! Then I was wondering if there would be any rooms available at the hospital, I'll be pissed if I get there and can't labor in a labor room because there are too many women there!!

That would be just our luck! I was hoping to go in today, too.

Oh man! I'm hoping NOT to go tonight. I don't want to have to worry about DH driving in it and trying to get the hospital safely. I also don't want to get there with a bunch of other woman and have to worry about sharing a room!
I haven't written up a birth story yet (still in the hospital and just jumped on to read the day's "news"), but I think I have to agree that this is true! I was 0% effaced, 0cm dilated, with a posterior cervix at my appt Wed. OB said I was definitely not going into labor before my due date. Well, the pressure changed thanks to the tropical storm and I went into labor 36 hours later! When we got to the hospital, they had 1 room left of 17 (and they usually only have 3 or 4 people at a time) and triage was full! I got the last room because I was the "most" in labor of anyone. It was a madhouse and all of the nurses blamed the barometric pressure. Crazy!

When I delivered DD #2 it was during a hurricane and the hospital ended up so full there were women laboring in the hall way, luckily for us we were there early enough to get a room, we were induced very early that morning and by late after noon the place was rocking, luckily for me we were well underway and my water had broken, other wise they would have stopped the induction and sent us home....
