Gallstones?

Anyone have any gallbladder problems after pregnancy?  My doctor told me a lot of women get gallbladder attacks and/or gallstones during and after pregnancy.  I recently had to have my gallbladder taken out (1 wk ago) because they found polyps and stones in my gallbladder.  I never had a problem before until after I had my baby.  My baby is 7 months old now and I started feeling sick back in June.  He was born in March so this started when he was about 3 months old.

I had my first attack 2 weeks post partum, and had my gallbladder out about 6 weeks after that. My surgeon says a large percentage of the gallbladder surgeries he does are postpartum, that something about the hormone changes and the weight gain/loss seems to set them off.

Getting it out was the best decision ever! The attacks were horrific (the first one we rushed to the ER because I couldn't breathe and my lips turned blue!) and I'm back to being able to eat pretty much everything now. I just have to be a little careful moderating how much fat or dairy I get at one time, or I have to go running to the bathroom!
