Hi ladies.Found out about my m/c (our 1st pregnancy) on Wednesday morning (I dated at 10w1d but baby measured only 7w6d) and decided to have the D&C yesterday.  It went well and we are looking forward to attempting to move on emotionally as quickly as possible.  We are not getting any younger, so would like to try again soon.  How long did you wait to try again?  Immediately?  That's what we are thinking of doing.Thanks for any input and support.

I'm very sorry for your loss and having to be here.  I had a missed miscarriage as well.  Baby only measured 6w1d when should have been 9w3d and there was no change the following week.  Did your doctor tell you how long you should wait before trying again?  My doctor said I needed to wait 2 cycles so my body can heal.  I would definetly ask your doctor before you start trying again immediately.

The doctor basically said that whenever we are emotionally ready, we can go for it.  I am 32 and DH is 39.  We aren't old at all by any means, but want to get this show on the road, so are a bit anxious.  

I guess I am comforted just knowing that we CAN get pregnant since so many have trouble with that.

DH surprised me that he is ready to go ahead and start trying again.  Maybe it is his way to deal with the loss.

I'm so sorry for you loss.  My doctor told me that I could start trying after I get my first regular AF.  My guess is that once you have your first regular AF, you should be basically back to normal.  I know some women are told to wait up to three cycles, though, so I guess it all has to do with what your doc recommends...

You might want to wait the two cycles just because my doctor told me that after a D & C you can miscarry right away again if you don't.  I don't know how it was for you, but I was fine right after the procedure and then the weeks following were when it really started to hit me emotionally.  It's up to you of course, but I would wait at least one.  I'm going to wait until my doc says to start, which is still a month away for me.

I'm very sorry for your loss. 

My doctor told me that as soon as I have my first AF post m/c, we can try again. I'm expecting AF sometime next week so we'll be ready to try again soon.

Our first pregnancy wasn't exactly planned. It was really our first month of not TTA. I was shocked because I really didn't think it would happen so fast. I really didn't think DH would want to try again right away but he knows how much it means to me because I was mentally preparing myself to be a mom for a few weeks, only to have it taken away. So he said that if I'm ready, he's ready. I'm just hoping that it happens fast just like the last time.

I'm thinking that is what is going to happen to me.  I wouldn't say I'm fine right now, but I'm better than I thought I would be.  To be honest, I think I'm more mad and bitter than sad right now.  I'm sure that's normal.

The first prayer we said after we found out was difficult.  DH just said, "please help us understand.  amen"

Luckily, or unluckily, we have a lot going on in the coming weeks to keep us busy.

I am so sorry for your loss.  I had a natural mc at 10w.  My MW said we could try again after my first AF, but my doc suggested we wait 2-3 cycles, which is what we did.... since I was an emotional wreck.

I think you'll know when you are ready.  GL and welcome!

I am so sorry for your loss. Welcome to the board.

I had one doctor tell me to wait one cycle, and another told me three. When I asked about the wait times, they told me their reasoning behind each recommendation. They also said that trying immediately can lead to a perfectly healthy pregnancy, or it could lead to a miscarriage because your lining is so thin after a D&C. Rather than take that chance, and to let your hormones get back down to normal levels, most doctors recommend waiting to TTC for at least one cycle.

I would double check with your doctor before TTC this cycle. Good luck!

So sorry for your loss and welcome to our board! I would wait atleast as long as your Dr. recommends. I had a D & C and was told to wait 3 cycles. Everyone is different so do whats best for you. I was fine emotionally, immediately after my D & C but little things would set me off...Like seeing a million pregnancies announced on FB. (Also, FB might not be the best thing for you right now) We all know how you feel and have had those feelings too! ((Big Hugs))

I'm so sorry for your loss and I'm glad your D&C went well. My doctor told us to wait 2 cycles until we TTC again. My 2nd cycle should be here in a couple weeks and then we'll be back on the TTC train again! I've heard some people say their doctors told them they don't have to wait and some were told to wait up to 3 cycles, I guess it depends on your doctor. Again I'm so sorry and I hope you find comfort and support here. ((HUGS))
