Consult with chiro/ acupuncture went great!

   Last week I had asked the board about their experiences with acupuncture and tonight I had my consult!

   I was very nervous because it was a man and I didn't know how emphatic he would be to my situation even though the receptionist (who I found out tonight is his wife) assured me they work with women who have fertility issues and high-risk pregnancies.

   He was very understanding AND best part- my insurance covers the chiro part and since they do not cover my acu, he's only charging me $10/ session (plus my $15 chiro co-pay)!!!!!!  It's laser acu and the sessions only last 15-25 minutes.  

   He did a full 'check-up' today, minus x-rays since I'm in the 2ww.  He determined that my L4 and sacral parts of my vertebrae need to be aligned/ adjusted.  Also, misalignment in these areas can cause disruption of the reproductive organs.  He also found that my pubic bone needed aligned  

   I'm not putting all my hope in this treatment 'fixing' everything, but it's given me some renewed optimism!

Thanks!  I was sad to see your CD 1  Doesn't that just make you hate pretty charts?  I am one to celebrate small victories, so I am celebrating (for you ) that you O'd earlier than usual giving you an overall, shorter cycle!

I know- I was shocked.  Completely shocked!  We didn't really get too much into discussion about what exactly laser acu is, but he assured me it's basically the same thing.  I'm not sure HOW it's the same thing, but I guess it's designed to do the same job.  

He said he had always done the traditional acu, but he found people were anxious about needles and pain and that he's had just as good experiences with the laser as he had with the needles.  I figure for $10, I am at least going to try it!!

I've been really curious about going to a chiro for fertility, but also nervous too.  Keep us posted on what you think!

I don't really feel too different but I'm hoping I will soon!  I've had intermittent lower back pain so even though I'd only originally inquired about the acu, I'm glad I just had an 'overall' consult for both chiro and acu services!
