My son's mn is Graham. A few people asked how to spell it when he was first born so they could get his name on things... And sorta went, "Oh...There's an h"????
I believe Graeme is the original spelling. But I would say Graham is the most "normal" spelling in America these days. If someone told me their name was Graham, I would ask to make sure.

Yes, this. My brother is Graeme, but I think it is most commonly Graham (which is also the most common misspelling of his name).
Graham and Graeme are both acceptable. I prefer Graham. And people who didn't know there was an H in there haven't seen enough boxes of graham crackers, apparently. Oh and FTR, I love this name. I had it at the top of my list when I was pregnant, but DH knew some toolshed named Graham so he wouldn't agree. Boo!
I just want to give you a world as beautiful as you are to me.
Lol do people not learn how to spell anymore these days? You're absolutely correct. Graham is the "normal" spelling and the first one I would think of if asked.
Re: Graham ...what's normal spelling?
