Found out this morning we're expecting a little princess!

I thought we had the first name all worked out but DH still isn't sold.  I need some more suggestions.

Already on the list are: Gioia (prn Joy-uh), Olivia, Hannah, Lily/Liliana, Jessica, Jillian, Rachel and Alessandra.  MN will be Christine, after my mom.

Last name is DeLuca.

ETA: Any additions and/or opinions on the name list are welcome,  TIA!!

Gioia will probably be mispronounced a lot but my name was too when I was a kid, I survived.

I love Rachel and Jillian. Great choices and both sound good with your last name. I prefer Rachel with your middle name choice.

Although phonetically I think Gioia is beautiful, think your daughter will be very upset with you because of the pronounciation difficulty. I would have had no clue how to pronounce it.  I think Alessandra is beautiful and unique.  Your other names are too popular for my taste.  GL deciding and congrats on the baby girl!

I agree with others, Gioia will constantly be mispronounced.  I think Jessica and Rachel are pretty 80s/90s, even though Rachel is a little more classic.

 

My favorite would be Jillian or Lilliana.  Or what about Juliana?  Juliana Christine DeLuca sounds beautiful to me.

 

DeLuca is a GREAT last name!  I think almost any name you pick will sound great with it.

No one will ever know how to say your childs name if you spell it Gioia. Olivia and Hannah are my top picks

Gioia is still my favorite.  We live in a predominantly Italian area, I don't think it will be that much of a problem...still looking for the perfect name though.

I really like Gioia and knew how to say it when I first saw it (without looking at your pronunciation). It's a beautiful name and goes with your very Italian last name well.
