you can probably check out ebooks and audio books for these things from your library?  Google your county (or however your state divides up library ownership) public library and "overdrive".

No more late fees!  H is happy about that.  I just paid $32 yesterday ;o(  I think I've spent more in fees than the cost of 4 kindles in the past 2 years.

  • Yep! I just put myself on the wait list for the ebook version of Game of Thrones, which I've been wanting to read for about 4 months now.

  • Yep!  I just recently got a nook, and I need to go take care of my existing library fines so I can start getting e-books.

  • Yes. I check out tons of ebooks and audio books from my library. They don't typically have new releases, and often the waits are long, but it's a good supplement to the physical books and books on cd I normally check out.
