anyone have bath towels that don't SUCK?

seriously. I keep reading about Restoration Hardware towels, but I'm not sure I feel like spending that much.

  • I got Bamboo Rayon towels from overstock.com (but you can get them elsewhere too).  They are really, really soft.  And they absorb really, really well.  But they are very thin.  I like that they are thin.  They go easy on the washer and I just am not a fan of thick, plush towels.

  • Ralph Lauren towels have always lasted forever for me.

I usually get them at places like TJ Maxx or Ollie's. Occasionally when they go on sale at various department stores.

  • Yes.  I am very picky about my bath towels too.  We like the Pinzon brand from Amazon.  I think it's actually an Amazon brand, not sure.  They are very soft and have held up really well.

  • Ditto Target towels.  I can't link them because we got them as a wedding present - 6 years ago - and have held up beautifully.  Thick, soft...just great!

  • We use the "Big One" from Kohls.  I love them, but I've never had anything higher end.  They're super absorbent...the ones we have now are about 3 yrs old.  I have new ones on my Christmas List, but only because we redid our bathroom and need different colors.  I'll move our current ones to the guest bath.

  • I have some from Restoration Hardware.  Seriously not worth the money - they aren't any better than the Ralph Lauren ones we got for our wedding.  They were soft before I washed them, but it didn't last.

  • We still have our Ralph Lauren towels from our wedding. They are 7 yrs. old and are just starting to get really worn out. I think we got our $$$ worth!
  • We also got our Ralph Lauren towels for a wedding gift.  I really liked them. They finally died this year and we've been married almost 9 years.
