joovy big caboose?

DS still likes a stroller and I can't imagine wrangling him while pushing a stroller...is a Joovy worth it if I can find a good deal on a used one? I don't envision using it too long, probably through next winter or so.

Re: joovy big caboose?

  • I know a lot of people aren't fond of it but it worked for us.  The cons are it's not the easiest to steer and it's quite large to fit in a vehicle.  The pros for me was it made getting out and about much easier when I was alone.  We go to a local Six Flags park once a week and I wouldn't have been able to do it without this stroller.  It's also my go to stroller for shopping in stores or in the mall because it's narrow.
  • i talked to 2 moms who had it when i saw them out and about- and both hated it.

i got the valco Trimode twin instead and LOVED it (still do- but don't use the 3rd seat anymore)... we used it all the time that first year when Griffin was 2-3yo... then started using a rider board on back.

I used to be Goldie_locks_5 but the new nest is so screwed up that I was forced to start over.

  • I had purchased one but just returned it. I found it to be waaaay too heavy & bulky to tote around as my everyday stroller. I am using the DSNG for now and DS#1 loves to help push the stroller, but I don't really go out w/ all 3 by myself - at least yet anyway ;) I am planning on getting the BJCS and then we will decide if a glider board will be necessary. IMO it is well worth the extra $$$.

I was considering this, it just seems wide. Glad to hear the toddler seat worked

it's just as wide as any other SBS - it's standard and will fit through any standard doorway.... i used it everywhere early on - stores, mall, etc.  It's not easy to fit in some smaller spaces, but no SBS is easy for that... but turning the big caboose isn't easy either in small spaces.
