Still no sign of a 2nd line on my OPK's

This is SO weird.  I have been using the CBE digital OPK's for months now and nearly always get a :) but at the very least I can see the 2nd line gradually getting darker.  This month I have been testing since CD10. (Today is day 18) I even tried a cheap "read the lines" kind of OPK and nothing. 

It is like they are not functioning right but how can an entire box of CBE tests AND 2 other brand tests all be defective?  They can't be---so it all points to one thing--I think I am defective.  :(

    I have another, more hopeful, explanation.  Maybe you had a short surge and just missed it?  When I first started using OPKs, I never saw a line...then I started testing like a crazy person (i.e., when I got up, in the afternoon, when I got home, before bed) and finally started seeing positives.  Have you been monitoring any other signs?

    Or another explanation...maybe your acupuncturist is just *that* good!

    Are you only testing 1x a day?  It's possible you missed your surge.  Do you temp?  Is it possible you've already O'd?

    Anyway, good luck!  You're not defective.  At worst you might just be having an off cycle.

    What time of day are you testing, and just once a day or twice?  It is definitely very possible that you had a short LH surge and just missed it.

    Thank you for all the sweet, uplifting comments.  I have tested mid day and evening trying to catch ANYTHING... I just can't understand why there is NO line at all not even a faint glimmer of a line!  I mean I get that this could be an off month (doesn't really matter..the last 27 months have not been that great either) but there should still be a line of some sort, right?  Next cycle I think I will start temping so I have another way to keep track--but I sure would like to know what is going on NOW.

    And yes ha ha... I think my acupuncturist is pretty good.. She seems to have delayed my ovulation (I assume) and since that was her goal she must be GREAT.  Sigh...

    PS if I see one more EPT commercial today I might flip out.  Apparently NBC thinks there are a ton of possibly pg women watching tv this morning.

    It could be an off month.  I didn't ovulate last month until CD 21.  Eggbert decided to be fashionably late.

    Praying for you llama.  And if my opinion matters, highly doubt you are defective!!!  Best of luck.
