Just made a delish hot turkey sandwich and had to share. Haven't had deli turkey since BFP and my friend gave me this recipe today, being the turkey gets heated through on the stove...
toast up both sides bread in a frying pan or skillet (we used wheat italian slices)
throw some slices of deli turkey in another pan with some cooking spray and cook until lightly browned (used thin Boars Head thinly sliced)
after bread is toasted and turkey is heated through, put turkey on one slice of the bread, then top with a slice or 2 of muenster cheese and let it melt a little bit
then add a thin layer of cole slaw and drizzle on some thousand island dressing, top with the other piece of bread
flip whole sandwich over to heat for another mintute or two
SO GOOD!

Re: If you miss turkey...
mmm, I had a yummy Subway Italian BMT yesterday.
Your recipe does sound pretty good :-) I just don't worry about the deli meats
That does sound yummy!
