Mucus Plug (TMI)

For those who have lost it or have been losing it slowly, what did it look like? How far along where you when you started losing it?

 

I have been having mucus tinged a brown/dark red once a day yesterday and today and am wondering if it could be the mucus plug. I feel that its so early for this to be happening. I would love for the baby to at aleast reach full term.

I haven't noticed anything with mine, but I will tell you that I know losing it doesn't mean that you are going to go in labor.  I know several people who "lost" it and then lost it again.  It can come back.  Don't worry!

Thanks! I called my on call dr just incase since I have strep B. Not sure if that effects anything

When I thought I had lost it, I posted here and then I googled it. (Not for the faint of heart). And indeed, thats; what it looked like. 

It sounds like you could have lost it, but it can grow back. I think I've lost a mucus plug like thing twice now.

Sounds like it to me.  It looks like a big glob of snot.  However, I was told that if it was "red" like blood to call my OB.  Mine was brown which indicated it was old blood, and then the following day it was pink.  And I lost mine over a 4 day period.
