I'm in need of something new. I have an Ergo but I'm looking for something else too. I had a Moby that I liked but she's too big for it now.
Bonus points if you explain why!

"Hello, babies. Welcome to Earth. It's hot in the summer and cold in the winter. It's round and wet and crowded. At the outside, babies, you've got about a hundred years here. There's only one rule that I know of, babies. God damn it, you've got to be kind."

Woven wrap, just for the support and versatility. Ring slings are quick and easy, but so is the Ergo.
Do you have a specific one you like?

I only have one woven, it's a BB Slen, 4.9 meters in the blueberry colorway. I absolutely love it and it's great for learning to wrap because it's a good, forgiving texture

I choose ring sling becuase I love mine and right now it gets the most use, but at this stage I would buy a framed backpack. We have a kokopax classic and DD loves it plus DH wears her in it, my mom, my dad, my BFF. We have a MoBy, ring sling, ergo, and backpack. At this stage I think the backpack and ergo will last us the longest. I do not have a woven though so I can not tell haw I would feel about that. I really can not justify another carrier at this point, but i would love to try a woven.
I'm going to be biased because the only carrier I own (I don't count the Moby since we only used it a few times and all when DD was super little) is a ring sling. I love it. I've been tempted to buy a woven but will probably wait until we have a second child since DD is almost a year old and walking. Right now DD is closing in on twenty pounds and it's pretty comfy to carry her. I used it for walking through Gatlinburg, TN this past weekend. She is also in that 'up and down' stage and it's easy to get her in and out.
Currently going through our second deployment. Can't wait for Zoe to meet her daddy!

Thank you. Where did you get it? I'm not seeing any US stores.

What are your wearing habits? Ring slings are great for shorter trips or the up/down stages, and wovens are better if you're going to wear a long time. The only thing the woven gives IMO better than a SSC is more ability to see over your shoulder in a high back carry (and a few other positions), and being prettier lol. If you like the Ergo and are more a SSC type, you may not like a woven. But then again the RS isn't for hours at a time (with heavier babies) either.
I have Caroline (8 months) and a 2.5 year old, so she gets worn pretty much anytime we're out of the house. Lots of walks, lots of trips to the playground. Once she's in, she's in for a while right now (if not, I use the Ergo). She's not walking yet so the up-down hasn't started. I mostly want to be able to wear her on my hip and back at this point.

Here is a place you can get BB slen. They don't have a lot of colorways right now but they'll probably get in more.
My Ergo and RS are my current favorites, so I voted RS. I mostly use the Ergo, but it is nice to have one you can just throw LO in and that fits in a diaper bag. I use it a lot around the house.
I don't (yet) have a woven, so I can't really compare. I do still use a K'Tan when LO is super sleepy/fussy.
I voted ring sling. We have an Ergo, Nati wrap, Babyhawk and ring sling. DS didn't like to be worn for extended periods of time, so we prefer carriers the were quick and easy to use.
