fell off my porch yesterday

I had DS in the sling and i was going to my next door neighbor's house.  i couldn't see the ground because of the baby in the sling.  I stepped to the left of the step and went straight down off the porch.  instinctively I pulled my arms up to hold Seth against my chest and took the fall with my elbow and knee.  I couldn't use my hands at all to catch myself, and ended up slamming into the concrete with my knee.  DS stayed sleeping, didn't touch the ground.  My whole knee is all scraped up and the knee cap feels loose.  it's very difficult to walk or bend or straighten my knee.

 My sister is coming over to help me with the baby in the morning and my aunt is coming this afternoon.  I love my family.

That would have been soooo terrifying.  I can't believe he never even woke up.  You did a great job of holding him.  I hope you heal up soon.

as i sat on the concrete going "ouch" and crying, i just kept thinking over and over what could have happened.  he could have hit his head or his back and it just freaked me out.  i'm so glad i was able to hold him up enough.

OMG!  I'm so sorry that you are hurting, but I am relieved that your DS is okay.  That fall could have been a lot worse.  Are you going to go to the doctor to have it looked at?

Ouch! I'm glad you didnt' get hurt any worse and that your DS is alright. Glad you can get some help to take it easy this morning. I hope you feel better.
