How long were you told to wait?

Until you could start TTCAL?  Getting a straight answer out my practice has proven impossible.  Right now I'm hoping the Cytotec works, but I don't think I'm bleeding enough for it to be successful?  I was 7w4 day when the mmc was discovered.  The baby stopped growing at 6w3d. 

I know I need to talk to my doctor, which I will do when I can find a practice to transfer to.  In the mean time, I need to know just for my own peace of mind.

Both times 2 cycles. I am currently waiting again right now.

My OB told me to wait 1 Cycle just to let my body regulate, and then the after that it was up to me. I felt like it took my body a couple months before it regulated.

One cycle.  I was sure she was going to tell me to wait longer, but she said one cycle was enough.

My doc said that I didn't need to wait after my blighted ovum. He said next time I O'd we could go for it (my words, not his). But then I got PG right away and had a chemical pregnancy. I saw a different doctor the next time. I didn't ask how long to wait, because I didn't want to hear a different answer.

With my first m/c I was about 7 weeks and was told to wait 3 cycles.  My 2nd loss was a cp and my OB said I could TTC immediately. (Diff. OB from the first) and my 3rd loss at 20 weeks I was advised to wait 2-3 cycles (same OB as my 2nd loss).

Does anyone know why 2 cycles seems to be the magic number?  It seems like some people are told 0, 1, or 3, but mostly it's 2 so I figure there must be a reason.

I was 8 weeks with both losses and had a D&C both times. We were told to wait 3 cycles.

My m/c was at 6 weeks.  My OB initially said to wait a few months, but when I asked if it was okay to try again after my first AF, she said it would be fine.  It was not a clear answer, but it seemed she initially said to wait a few months for emotional reasons.

2 cycles, but your doctor will know best.

Was told I didn't have to wait.  He did say that he'd prefer if I waited until 1 AF, but it wasn't mandatory.  I think DH and I are going to try to wait.  I'm waiting for AF now.

I had a d&c and I saw 3 different doctors... And got 3 different answers. My original OB said 2 cycles. Her partner said 3 months and the new OB I saw said 1 cycle was enough. We are trying to decide who to listen to... we are leaning toward 2 cycles.

I was told 1 cycle after our first m/c and 3 after the second. Check out our blog for this and more info. Every Dr. is different though so I'd check with them first. They know your case the best. Good Luck!

I mc at 6 wks and was told to wait just 1 cycle. But, like pp's said, your doc will know best.

I had a mmc at 6 weeks 1 day and my OB told me to wait 1 cycle but then we went to see a RE and he said 2 cycles so that is what we are doing.
