because they are disgusting and I'd hate to be taking them for no good reason. Anyone else taking the rank brown powder tea and/or the pills that look like little rabbit turds?
Ah, the things we do for motherhood . . . I think I'd rather be shooting up at this point (that'll be after the RE visit).

My acupuncturist told me to take 30(!) of the little rabbit turds (Wuzi Yanzong Wan) 2x(!) per day. I don't think I could swallow that many if I wanted to, so I'm taking more like 20 total a day.
No idea what's in my yucky brown tea. Probably eye of newt and dried tiger ovaries. My acu told me he'd email me with the ingredient list but he hasn't gotten around to it yet. ;-P
The majority of the herbs I took were in a special mix of brown powder that was kind of like instant tea that I had to dissolve into hot water and drink. I go to a TCM Dr. from China, so when I say special mix, I really have no idea what is in there, and she changes it up depending on how I am each time. I did this 2-3 a day depending on my cycle. I also took sheep placenta powder in the form of pills 2, 2x a day. It sounds disgusting but at least I did not have to taste them.
All this stuff did work in a couple of areas-- I had crappy looking charts before with a weak O and short LP. After taking herbs, my charts were beautiful-- My LP went from 10 to 12 days, and I had a much stronger O as evidenced by a sharp rise in temperature. I am pretty sure all this helped me make nicer eggs, so I am glad I did it in the months leading up to IVF.
