Okay so I found this LO's heartbeat at 9w3d with my home doppler. I know it was the heartbeat and I have a recording of it. I also found it on 9w4d and 9w5d... I stopped using the doppler after that, just because...well I was getting obsessed with wanting to hear the LO.
So fast forward to 10w. Last night I tried to find it, no such luck. Same with this morning.
FWIW, It usually takes me 5 minutes to find it, but LO quickly hides from the doppler after about 10 seconds. Little stinker. I hate being a nurse and always knowing the worst. Just wondering if anyone else has had this happen.
I have a dr appt on Monday.
Re: Anyone find the HB with doppler then not find it?
Awesome. That's kinda what I was thinking, but then my brain gets to working and I start to become "one of those women" lol.
I figured I would not use the doppler until after the dr. appt. Just for peace of mind.
That's kind of where I am, or at least until 12 weeks. It's just so hard and tempting to use when it is just sitting there! I knew once I bought it I'd become obsessed!
Yep. Just looks me straight in the face and says "what's the harm...try me again and again and again"....
And least I recorded it on my phone so I have SOMETHING to hear. I don't know if I can wait 3 more weeks. LOL, the doppler is my drug... I'm addicted.
Oh gosh, yes. We've had a lot of trouble with this one. With Gabe, there was literally only one time I couldn't find it when we'd been finding it for about two weeks, and I was so worried.
But you are still very early to find it at all - my doc's office couldn't find my baby's on Monday at 11 weeks. I wouldn't worry too much about it, but of course you are concerned.
I've been putting the doppler away for a few days at a time, thinking it will get easier as we move along. When I do listen, I can usually hear other reassuring sounds even if I can't always get a clear h/b - the placenta whistling, sounds of movement, etc. I think I'm having a harder time because of where my uterus is right now in relation to some big arteries - baby is getting lost behind my own loud h/b.

Thank you! Maybe its a Gabe thing. My DS is a Gabriel too, and I could ALWAYS find his. I finally found this one today. I am too obsessive-compulsive. And I did find that as soon as I found it, it's HB was drowned out by my own, plus the placenta noises and a few kicks.
