I'm still giving my girls 4 ounces. They usually start crying after 2 hours to eat again. I started giving them a 6 nounce bottle at 5 am (the only time they wake up) and most of the time they finish it but they havent eaten in 8 hours.

I BF, so I don't know how much he eats exactly, but I can say that right around 4 months he started wanting to eat really frequently...like every 1-2 hours. He had been regularly going 3-4 hours between feedings. The pedi said their caloric needs skyrocket at about 4 months, and that's part of the reason we started solids...to give me a tiny bit of relief! He doesn't really eat much, though, so it hasn't changed things much.
We give our girls 5 ounces at every feeding and sometimes we have to give them another ounce or two. They eat every 3 hours during the day and then whenever they wake up at night, which ranges from 12:30-4:00 generally. I'm up with Paige right now (and she's wide fricking awake at 2am) and she just had 4 and a half ounces...
My niece who is 14 months old eats like a bird and still only takes about 4 ounces of milk she never took much more than 4 - 5 oz's of formula every 4 hours before she moved onto solids.
My almost 3 month old son takes in 5 oz's of expressed breast milk or formula every 3 hours, and when I am not at work he breast feeds every 1.5-2 hours. He actually eats so much that I have to at times supplement with Formula because my milk production can't keep up with his appetite.

He has actually started to eat less, since STTN. He eats anywhere from 20 to 28 oz. He used to east 36 t0 40. I am actually concerned, but he is gaining weight slowly and peeing enough, and pedi is not worried... Yesterday He had 20 oz and I pretty much kept him awake to drink another bottle. He takes 4 oz at a time or so...
Re: How much does/did your 3-4 mth old eat?
Every baby is different.
