Think about it. If there is a simple blood test then everyone is going to want it.
From my understanding the test is kind of like the one hour glucose test in that if your baby does have downs it will give you a positive, but it also gives false positives. In order to actually determine if your baby actually does have downs, you would have to get an amnio. SO there will be a lot more people taking the blood test and getting a false positive which will make a lot more people want to get the amio to confirm.
