Toddlers: 24 Months+

Must have toys for 2.5 years?

I am looking for some suggestions in general, as well as starting up our X-Mas list. Sometimes I feel like DS's toys stink, cause he does not seem too interested, so I am wondering if I am missing out on some good ones that I just haven't seen/thought of? Thanks so much in advance!

  • My kids seem to love their play kitchen, train set, puzzles, dress-up clothes, tool bench, and building blocks the most.  They also LOVE books.  This year their big gifts will be dollhouses, because they love role-playing and pretending to be moms and dads and stuff... and they beeline for the dollhouse at BFF's house when we go over there.

  • Instruments are big in our house.

    Puzzles.

    Books.

Anything to build with, wood blocks, megabloks,  legos.

    DD likes her abacus.

Also I found a toy typewriter and DD loves playing with that.

and we just got the Sesame Street play street from PlaySkool with the little figures (kind of like Little People) and DD hasn't stopped playing with it for two days now.

  • My DD is a few months older than your son, but she loves any and all books, any and all puzzles, dolls and strollers, anything musical like a drum, a toy guitar, etc. She also loves outdoor toys like balls, bubbles, her bicycle, etc.

  • There is a Melissa and Doug musical instrument "Band in a box" type thing that mine loves. We plays with it every day!
