We really want to use a family name as a mn...sadly, none of the options goes very well with the first name we're leaning toward, but could you help us choose which of them sounds the best? Last name is 1 syllable, beginning with a hard consonant.
Thanks!
Re: Middle name help (poll)
It's okay if you're against it, but that isn't really helpful input for me at this point...we have been iffy on names for 32 weeks and have finally managed to select one. Hudson was the first name of one of DH's ancestors, b. 1799...which came first, the chicken or the egg? It was a first name as far back as then, so I feel comfortable considering it a first name now.
My question was which first/middle name combo flows best, not do people like them.
LO #1 - 1 unmedicated/self-monitored IUI w/ donor sperm.
LO #2 - 1 m/c, 2 BFNs, 4th IUI worked (unmedicated/self-monitored with new donor sperm).

We'd really like to honor my mom's side of the family, and these all came from that side. Three of them are from 1 individual's name, and 1 is from another's name. I don't think we prefer one over the other, so in this case, flow will probably be the deciding factor. Thanks!

By the way, isn't Wendell a first name? I've only ever known it as a first name...it was my grandfather's name.

I do think Hudson Turner flows slightly better than the rest, but I prefer Gordon and/or Wendell to avoid the "law firm" effect.
I don't care for Hudson Eaton because it sounds so choppy.
I voted for Hudson Turner because that is the flow I like best.
I did want to add that I like Gordon the best though, perhaps because I watch too much Thomas the Tank Engine.
I wouldn't worry about the it's a fn or it was once a ln sentiments. Both of my boy's have names that originated as surnames yet I think of them as First names first and they are ranked well within the top 1000 ssn list so they aren't unheard of. BTW, I think of Hunter as a fn and have never known anyone with Hunter as a ln. I know people with the surnames Thomas, Michaels, Phillips, James so it definitely goes both ways.
