I just got back from first appointment and I have put on about 10 lbs in the last few months! yikes. Dr suggested working out. Anyone have a good pg friendly dvd? I can't afford to join a gym right now and it soon will be too cold for walking.
If you don't mind routines that are a bit repetitive, try the Fit Mama dvd -- it has two different routines, one kindof a low-impact dance routine, and one a yoga workout (not really traditional yoga, but based on yoga-type poses), plus a stretching section you do at the end of either workout. I find the woman a bit annoying, but then again, I find most exercise dvd hosts annoying. I got it on amazon and it also came with a post-pregnancy workout dvd to help you get back in shape after giving birth.
The Perfect Pregnancy Workout got great reviews on Amazon. Its about $20. I ordered it this morning, so I can't tell you from experience, but go on Amazon and search Prenatal Workout DVD's, check out the reviews.
Just saw that the Lindsay Brin set will be on BabySteals tomorrow. I'm not sure how their price will compare to Amazon since they charge for shipping, but it's worth checking out. The morning steal starts at 10am central time and goes until it sells out or 10pm, whichever comes first.
