wanting to tell co-workers at halloween party

This may sound silly, but I will be 12 weeks on Halloween and was planning on telling my coworkers at that milestone. We are having an office Halloween party in which we are paired with another coworker to create a team costume. My partner (who knows that I'm pregnant) thinks it would be fun to have some pregnancy related costume as a way of announcing it.

The problem is that we cannot think of anything! The only thing we thought of is a bun in the oven and a baker, but that puts her in a weird awkward position.

Any thoughts?

  • You could dress up as a beauty queen, and instead of your sash saying "Miss Ohio" it could say "Miss Bun in the Oven".  A friend of mine did that and it was a hit.

Why would it put her in an awkward position?  I think that's a cute idea!!

  • Do you have to go as a coordinating costume?  The bun in the oven idea is totally cute.  I've seen that costume before.  :)  haha

  • you could dress up like a house, the other like a real estate agent and have a sign on the house that says "no vacancy" or something like that. The house could just be a cardboard box with windows drawn on ;)

  • I'm doing the same thing with another girl in the office who is pregnant too-so I'm looking for ideas too.

I agree it would be awkward for your coworker to wear the "bun maker" portion of the costume as that's usually reserved for your partner.

I like the real estate idea, I've seen where some people will dress as a UPS derlivery person and you can hold a box that says "Special Delivery to be opened...." and you can list your due date.

  • Not nec coordinating, but could you both be skeletons and you wear a shirt like: https://www.spreadshirt.com/-C3380A8090100

O-M-G!  I'm completely disgusted, yet I can't stop laughing.  This is so wrong in so many ways.....

  • I wore a white shirt when I was pregnant and taped a speed bump sign on my stomach...cheapest idea ever!

  • She could be spaghetti and you can be a jar of "Preggo" /prego sauce! lol

  • I am not pregnant but I saw your post. You could be a "mummy" to be. :) Good luck! Just re-read your post.... Not sure what your friend could be with this costume. :) Sorry!
