Estrogen Patches for FET

Anyone ever use these? I just started them this weekend and they are a little itchy, sticky around the edges, and a p.i.t.a. to take off. I have them on my lower abs. Did anyone every put them in a different place or have the same experience?

Re: Estrogen Patches for FET

  • Yes, I used patches for FETs, too.  I altered the location each time I changed them.  I'd start on my back on either side of my spine or on my lower belly.  Depending on the starting location, I'd move them either forward or backward about a patch width.  It really helped my skin not get irritated.  As for removal, I always used rubbing alcohol but I've heard of several women removing them with baby oil.

  • I have not used these but a friend of mine even used canola oil to remove the stickiness of the patches.  Best of luck to you!

  • Are these the Vivelle dot patches?  I am starting these tomorrow--I have to use two patches and replace every two days.  I'm nervous about them though because in the directions that come with them it says not to use if pregnant or thinking of becoming pregnant!  (Something to that effect.)  Huh?!?!
