Overnight bras?

Hey all :)

So I'm starting to notice my breasts are not really big, they're just HEAVY.  It puts a lot of strain on my upper chest and shoulders.  So as you can imagine, the first thing I want to do when I get home is remove my bra.  The problem is this only makes it worse.  Does anyone recommend a nighttime bra?  Just something that's soft, comfortable, and offers a little more support that's appropriate for around-the-house use.

Re: Overnight bras?

  • I saw something at Kohls can't remember what it was called that would be perfect!  (It looked like a sports bra but was much softer)    I wish I would have bought it.  I am having the same issue.  I started using a fitted cami, and then tried a lightweight sports bra and that works well too.

  • Last time around, my breasts were so sore, especially at night!  I wound up wearing a sports bra to bed and that worked really well for me.

Luckily, this time, I'm not experiencing the same thing.  I'm assuming it's because DS still BFs?

  • I think it might just have to come down to me going to the mall and trying them on.  Maybe Target would have something reasonably priced as well.  As you can imagine, we're definitely on a budget :)

Just wondering if anyone really liked a particular brand/style.

    Thanks!

  • If you plan to breastfeed after your little one is born, I would get a nursing tank top from Target. I like the Gillian O'Malley brand. I'm still wearing mine from my first kid.

  • I agree with all of the PP's, however what worked best for me so far is a sports bra.. had minimal to no pain through the night.
  • Last time I used sports bras at night, and I will probably do the same thing again this time.

For pregnancy bras I'm using Bali underwire-free.  I used that the last time, too.

Everything I read about pregnancy bras says to get nursing bras, but that makes no sense to me since my nursing cup size is 3 sizes bigger than my pregnancy cup size, so I recommend against that.

  • I just got the "Wrap Nursing Sleep Bra" from Motherhood Maternity and I really like it.
  • I bought a sleep bra from motherhood maternity last pregnancy... I should dig that out, I have been using a sports bra recently.  The nice part of the sleep bra is you can use it when you are breast feeding.
