spotting in first tri

hi girls !!

i am almost 7 weeks pregnant...wed night had a HUGE scare...bled a lot of red blood....went to my RE and there were THREE nice heartbeats....he said sometimes there is just no explanation for bleeding...my beta was almost 100,000....

now i just have a little bit of brown spotting and i know that's probably normal but any reassurance would be great...

I had a lot of spotting (more like a light bleed) right at the very end of first tri- it can be very scary.  We actually though I might be miscarrying, and instead found out we were having twins!

Try not to be too alarmed, and follow your doctor's advice.  My doctor did tell me that spotting with no cramps is usually ok, cramps with no spotting is ok, but spotting AND cramps- not ok.  I was always supposed to call her though if I started spotting just to check in.  Thankfully, we had the one episode and never again!

I had a little bit of spotting at the very beginning of the second trimester, and I actually had it in my first pregnancy as well during my first trimester. I believe that it was a subchorionic hemorrhage both times that resolved themselves.

Congrats on three!! I had a little spotting at 16w, checked out ok and no explanation for why! Never came back though. GL!

I also had a bleed around 7 weeks. The day before we found 4 babies 3 with heartbeats. Started bleeding the next night went to dr the day after bleed and the Trio were doing good. I am now almost 29 weeks and the trio are still good we did lose baby D and that is what think the bleed was for us. But I had bleeding during my singleton also. So very common. Congrats on your triplets.

I had on and off spotting of light pink and brown through my 1 trimester and a little into my 2nd even. I was very scared, but it turned out to be from a thing called a  subchorionic bleed, which i guess is pretty common especially w/ multiples. It's been well over a month since i have had any spotting now and my doctors and u/s techs both told me it was nothing to worry about unless it was accompanied w/ cramps and HEAVY bleeding (like a period).

I BLED (red blood) at 8 weeks and at 13. Just an irritated cervix both times, but it of course freaked me out! Obviously everything was fine, I have two healthy girls now!

thx girls....i appreciate all of our responses!!!   going through IVF is stressful enough....and think the first trimester is right up there but i am trying to remain as calm as possible!!
