So, summer 2010 my brakes went when my car was 2y1m old with only 22K miles on it. I fought with Dodge for 2 weeks to get my brakes covered under warranty (2 year / 24K mile warranty) and they finally did. 1 month later I got a letter in the mail that there was a recall. Beginning of the summer this year my AC stopped working. When I took the car in, turns out that there was a recall on that, fine. August, the front wheel bearings on my car went bad at 29K miles, 3y2m old. Was told it wouldn't be covered under warranty and tried fighting it, but they denied me, paid over $500 out of pocket to have it fixed. Don't I get a letter in the mail today that they are extending the warranty for wheel bearings to 5 years / 36K? What the hell! They said they'll reimburse me for the part, but that was only $150, the rest of the cost was labor. Ugh! WTH? Why does my car suck?

Re: #$%*@& Chrysler/Dodge
Don't take the first offer on the wheel bearing. Submit the bill in its entirety and add a letter requesting reimbursement for parts, labour and taxes. Since they are now recalling them (safety recall) they are now paying for parts, labour and taxes (if applicable) for repairs to every minivan out there that falls under the recall.
Make a preemptive phone call to customer service. Start a file number. Stay calm, tell them exactly what happened, exactly what you want and give them a time frame (but a reasonable one). Follow up with customer service and your dealer.
Squeaky wheel gets the oil. $500 matters. Stay calm but ask for what is fair.
