Question for those that use a Moby

I bought mine when I first had Faith but didn't use it because it was just too hot in the summer. I got it out the other day and I really like it but just had a question.  Is it safe for her to be in it with her whole head exposed and able to move all around or does it still need to be supported with the fabric? I hope this makes sense!  I looked in the book but the picture I saw with an infant (as opposed to a newborn) had the baby's head resting on the mom.

  • When DD could not hold her head up, I would support it with one hand. The head does need to be support somehow and DD did not like the fabric on her head Wink

Thanks. Faith is pretty good at holding her head up and holds it pretty steady. She does not like the fabric on her head either--she is too nosy (maybe like her Mama..ha ha) and likes to look all around.

  • As long as she can support her head, she's fine!  Look on youtube...tons of Moby videos on there.

  • I put her in so she was turned almost sideways and that way the fabric was over her head. Here's a pic:

This was about a week old, but I turned her head and body so she was more like how I would hold her in my arms than straight up and down. I was able to pull the fabric over her head to hold her in. I never bent over without holding her head. At least you'll have one hand free!
