Babies: 6 - 9 Months

gah, wtf?!?!?!?

P was up every 2-3 hrs last night  Sleep  He had shots on Friday and had been sleepy all weekend with a low fever. He was back to "himself" late yesterday... until bedtime.  He screamed when I put him down (which is rare for him) and then woke up about a million times. He has been STTN for weeks now. It's like teething + growth spurt + not feeling well  or my kid is posessed.  His temp was normal, he ate a little but wasn't super hungry. I finally caved and gave him 1/2 dose of tylenol around 4am becuase I figured SOMETHING must be wrong- he was screaming.  I brought him to bed with us and he got a couple hours.  Unfortunately, I don't really sleep well when he sleeps with me, so i'm a zombie today! But he's happy and playing now.... what gives?!?!

  • This must be what's up with Jules too...She had her shots last week and its been hell.  I think its a combo of shots + teething now.  Ugh.  I'll put her to sleep then around 2 she wakes up and is inconsoleable so she has ended up in bed with us every night for the past week.  I love it, but I know hubby doesn't like having her in the bed, and I really don't like it when he's there.  He is terrified of having her in there, and I completely agree....but its the ONLY way we get any sleep now.

  • Shots always screw us up for a few days, too.  I know I had one of the shots that he had, and I could barely move my arm for a week.  Those things hurt!  Hope your little man is back to normal (at night) soon!

  • In addition to what the other ladies said, sometimes DD just has a bad night.  I think it's normal.  As adults, there are some nights we don't sleep well for whatever reason and I think that applies to babies too.  Every night is different.  Hopefully tonight will be better!
