I was being uber vigilant at first as well, but I've been having more and more soda lately. Both caffeinated & non-caffeinated. As long as you don't chug a 2 liter bottle, I'm sure it's fine!!
Blessed to be married to my best friend & so in love with our little man!!

This. Also, some grape, orange and strawberry sodas also have no caffeine
i wish i could be joking but my dad is the music teacher at a church so he owuld be mad. we had sex, all the time how bad i know but we dont want to wait and he said GREAT OH KAY! and I was really feeling the wets? down there- too embarsed to say- but he acted like man.
I have an iced coffee every morning. I have no clue why you would abstain from soda ...I'd be far more concerned about the calories if it is not diet or the aspartame if it is diet.
A couple of sodas are not going to hurt you or baby as far as caffeine is concerned. Just don't drink it all day. Like every one else said, you can have it, just not excessive amounts of it.
My doctor told me absolutely NO caffeine whatsoever.. but MAN that is ridiculous.. How am I going to stay awake? I also get headache withdrawals. I have been drinking 1/2 cup of coffee and then water the rest of the day. Anyone else have doctors orders for NO caffeine? I just can't do it.

I didn't drink caffeine due to morning sickness, but now that I have been feeling much better I added caffeine back into my diet. I don't drink caffeine everyday and somedays I'm sure I go over my daily reccommended amount. I drink Pepsi when it sounds good and sometimes soda sounds better than juice or water. As long as I drink lots of fluids everything should be fine. I drank caffeine with my second pregnancy and my second set of twins were bigger than my first set of twins. I love coffee and still grab a starbucks on occasion. I just go with my daily cravings.

As long as you're not drinking more than 200mg of caffeine I think you're fine... A diet coke only has 45 mg (I believe!) You're fine with treating yourself to one!
I'm a huge DC fan, but for some reason now it makes me nauseous... so I haven't had the same craving. And there are also lots of sodas that you can get caffiene free if you're really concerned about the caffeine!
My bodily fluids were probably 90% diet coke pre-pregnancy. I freaked out and quit cold turkey for about the first three months. I realize now that there were days I would have felt much better if I would have just had one here and there, as I'm doing now.
Don't suffer unneccesarily.

Nope, drink up! I typcally drink sprite, 7 up, ginger ale, orange or root beer. I have one can a day, I have to limit how much I drink, but not because of the pregnancy, because the carbinaton bothers my crohns.
My little pumpkin was born at 34weeks, weighing 3lbs, due to severe IUGR & Unexplained Placental Insufficiency. He spent 49 days in the NICU.
I am in the final weeks of my pregnancy and just HAD to reply. I am a MAJOR soda-holic. Not that I recommend it or suggest it, but I drank at least 3-4 servings of soda a day all throughout my pregnancy and baby and I are 100% fine. Like I said, not that I am suggesting it, but indulging is not going to hurt you. Enjoy that soda!

I'll love you forever Baby Speck
Haha, probably not. I have been told that you can have one cup of coffee a day so I would think that a small soda wouldn't hurt.
I know I can have one... I just thought I could hold out longer
Have one! I had one last night and it was delicious.
