where did your kiddos sleep for the first few months?
i think i want them in our room. i think we are going to not cobed at night, but let them cobed during the day for naps. because of all the time in the nicu we are very nervous parents!
should i buy 2 graco mini-pack n plays? 2 bassinets? what's best?
thanks! i'm really struggling with this.
Re: i have to ask one more time...
Ours shared a crib in their nursery starting the first week they were home.
In hindsight, I would have really like to get an arm's reach co-sleeper and used that for awhile. I liked having them in the nursery, because when they slept in our room, I'd jump up for every little noise. However, I ended up bringing them into our bed so often (to get some rest), that I wished I'd gotten the cosleeper, since it's safer.
Baby #3 due September 12, 2014!
Hi Loree-
My guys slept in the arm's reach co-sleeper for the first four-ish months. I loved that thing! During the day, they basically slept in their bouncy seats or their cribs (we had them in one crib until about 4 months too).
If you want to buy two of something, I'd suggest getting two pnps..you will need two later when you travel and they are too big to fit in one (I learned that lesson the hard way!).
Hang in there, those girls are absolutely beautiful!

We just moved our into their room this last weekend.
Here is my take on it. I know you are nervous about them sharing a space, but really, with a PNP or especially the arms reach co-sleeper, they can be so far apart from each other they are not even close to touching. You could put them on opposite sides of the PNP or sleeper and it would be like they were in separate bassinets. Here is a pic of my girls in the co-sleeper who were 3 months old at the time so you can imagine them a whole lot small when they first started out. We bought a wedge to put under them so they could be inclined slightly due to spit up.
If you are dead set against it, I would buy 2 cheap bassinets. They will feel more secure in that little space, IMO.
Good Luck, it is so hard to know what to do sometimes. I hope I helped.
