1st Trimester

What type of makeup are you using

Does anyone know of a type of makeup (i.e. foundation, powder, etc.) that is safe and looks nice/will cover some of my blemishes?

Just looking for recs...  I haven't really been wearing anything because I didn't want to make the breakouts worse, but just wondering what other ppl are using.

 TIA!

Re: What type of makeup are you using

  • I'm still using what I was using before I got pregnant. I looked like I hit puberty in my 1st tri. Now my complexion has gone back to normal.

  • I currently don't wear makeup but Neutrogena is great for that:)

  • Covergirl... that new natural lux foundation works well for me.  My breakouts are really tiny for the most part and it doesn't completely conceal the red ones but its light, has sunscreen, and doesn't clog my pores :)

  • I'm definitely a Sephora junkie. I use the clarisonic with the philosophy purity wash - my face comes out glowing!

I use Christian dior flash for foundation followed by dior powder -- fabulous coverage.

If I had to invest in one thing - it would definitely be the Clarisonic with the philosophy purity wash - BEST investment I've ever made. Keeps my blackheads and break outs at bay.

    Good luck!

  • Lancome has the BEST mascaras!! Nothing compares IMO. Clinique is great for tinted moisturizers, lotions, and face washes. I use MAC, Nars & some Bare Minerals for everything else. Love, love, love MAC shadows and liners! Nars blush in "orgasm" is my FAV! I could keep going on and on. I'm a makeup addict!

  • You are allowed to wear any kind of makeup. You just want to stay away from traditional acne fighting medications and preventions.

I second this. There are no harsh chemicals and its great for breakouts because it lets your skin "breathe".

  • I use Bobbi Brown.  I really like her concelear and just got some liquid foundaiton there and love it.  It's a little expensive but everything lasts for a really long time.
  • I use Bare Minerals too, the Bisque has been great for covering up all the blotchy redness and then I brush the foundation on over top of that to even everything out...I've used it for 7 yrs now and love it!

Their cleansers are really nice and gentl too!

I LOVE Bobbi Brown although nothing is really working that well at making my "pizza face" look any better.
