major screw up, or no biggie?

I got 4 new bamboo and 2 new hemp inserts. I always boil them for 20 minutes to get the oils out, but I am the most absent minded person when it comes to leaving things on the stove. I boiled them for over an hour!  They appear fine, and I'm sure the oils are obliterated, but could I have done permanent damage to them?

As long as they are just the inserts, they should be fine.

Probably no biggie.  Maybe they will be super absorbent right off the bat.
