Help me pick b/t two halloween "themes" for our costumes.

We like to do family costumes.  I came up with these two themes b/c we already have some of the costumes so it wouldn't require me to buy a lot more stuff. 

1.  Blues Brothers.   Boys would wear their black suits and I would buy them little fedora hats.   They wore their suits for 30 mins so it would be nice to get some more use out of them.  I would be a cop, DH would be a prisoner, and dog would be a cop.  

2.  Puppy dog theme.  Boys would be puppies (they are obsessed with dogs) and I would be a vet, DH a vet tech and my dog would be, well, a dog :)

Do any of these sound good?  Or is there something else we could do with their suits?   TIA!
