I'm thinking of giving Allison bangs (well a professional) She won't leave any type of barrette or let me do anything w/it and it is hanging in her eyes. Only problem is I know how hard it is to grow them out when you don't want them anymore.
they never look right, imo. either too short or too long and they are a lot of maintenance. try to stick it out a little then she can push it behind her ear
Nay...I tried it when dd was younger for the same reason. My husband asked that I never do that again! As pp said, they are a lot of maintenance. They constantly need to be trimmed, and usually end up to short to start. Keep putting things in her hair, she'll get used to it.
Nay. DD usually refuses to let me put her hair up. Her hair is constantly in her eyes. It's finally getting to the point where she can (and will) tuck it behind her ears if it starts bothering her. I figure soon it will be long enough that it won't be an issue at all. I don't want to have to go through the growing out process again.

Before we cut DD's, I would have said nay, but I actually really like them. Her hair was all in her face and she won't leave bows in all day, so Dh wanted me to get them cut.
Re: Bangs-yay or nay???
If she won't let you put anything in them - then yes.
I guess I am lucky that DD loves to wear things in her hair.
