1st Trimester

So f'ing tired...

Is the fatigue normal this early? I wake up at 7 every morning and am nauseated usually until noon then I'm exhausted. And it's not just tired; my feet feel heavy like I'm trekking through sand. I usually give up the battle around three and pass out. Each day for the past three days I've taken a 5 hour nap. Then, afterwards I have no trouble sleeping through the night from 11pm to 7am.When will this pass?

Re: So f'ing tired...

  • I've had horrible fatigue since four weeks.  My husband informed me last night he thinks it isn't as bad as I'm making it sound and that I really can't be that tired every evening... Needless to say, that conversation didn't end super well for him.

  • Everyday this week I have literally wanted to crash at work. I think I have been in the bed every night before 9PM. I am totally pooped... I have NO energy at all!

  • I feel the same way; no energy, just totally drained. I'm lucky my classes are in the morning before the exhaustion sets in. And even luckier my fiance doesn't mind foraging for dinner on his own. Lol.

  • I work a split shift so I get up at 5 at work by 6.  I have come home everyday for the last two weeks and taken a 2 1/2 hour nap.   I didn't get to take a nap for work reasons and by 1:30 I was DYING!!!  I finally got off at 5 tonight and I always go to my mom's on Wednesday.  I was asleep on her couch by 5:30.  OMG!

  • I have been pretty exhausted too. No matter the amount of sleep, feeling well rested doesn't last long. It could be my almost 2 year old exasperating the issue too :)

  • Luckily right now I'm between semesters at school and I only work the Fri-Sun shift , so I can stay home and sleep later during the week. I've been going to bed at normal hours and can wake up on my own between 8:30-9:30 and just can't seem to get out of bed. Lately it hasn't been until noon that I can physically roll out of bed and get started with anything.
  • I've been so tired since week 6! I take naps like everyday now and go to sleep so early, and then I'm still tired!!!

    I hope this passes soon!

  • HA ha ha....MommaJB, that is hilarious.  Men are so clueless.  I do have to tell my husband frequently what I am going through and I think sometimes he thinks Im BS-ing him but most times I thnk he does feel bad for me.  :)  super funny

  • Yeah...I'd hoped this pregnancy would be different.  With DS I was so sick and exhausted I left my job a few weeks before I knew I was scheduled to be laidoff.  And then was so sick I didn't find a new job until I was about 6 months pregnant.  DS was born almost exactly a year after we got married, so needless to say it was a tough first year on our marriage.

My DH finally agreed he'd like to have another and DS is 5 and 1/2 years old.  So now we're 6+ weeks pregnant and the last week and a half has been sleep and nausea, non-stop....Except for keeping up with my job I'm accomplishing nothing.

I'm trying to keep moving so DH does not feel deja vu of our 1st pregnancy, but all I want to do is SLEEP!!
