Anyone ever have gallbaldder issues? Dr. Google anyone?

What did it feel like?  I keep getting this weird pain in my stomach.  I thought it was m/s and I've been trying to track down the offending food that's causing this, but nothing is really standing out.  It's happened 4x, each time I get super nauseas and break out into a cold sweat.  Once time I threw up from it, the other times I've gotten it to pass on it's own, but it's happened twice this afternoon. I didn't have a particularly fatty lunch, nothing fried at least.  Three times it's happened after having a hot beverage (decaf coffee 2x and hot chocolate today).  No more hot beverages in the afternoon for me, I guess (never happens in the AM).

  • The pain feels like contractions that usually live in your right shoulder blade for a while.  They radiate from the shoulder blade, down to the front of the stomach and back again.  And can cause you to have diarhea/throw up (or at least feel like you are going to do either/both).

Cheese is the #1 trigger but really, anything high in fat (are you putting cream in those afternoon beverages) will cause an attack.

It's VERY common in pregnancies/right after pregnancies.

  • When I had a gallbladder attack it felt like I was having a heart attack. It was hard to breathe and felt like I had a pole impaled through me.

I had it removed shortly after that. Which happened to be 2 weeks before my wedding.

  • yep and my gallbladder is now gone with the wind.

I had stomach and back pain. And it's TMI........my poop smelled weird. It took about a year to sort it all out.

  • today was the first time I noticed pain in my right shoulder.  I just figured it was from being all tensed up.

  • I have gallbladder issues and my pain is usually right below my rib cage that can radiate towards my back. Some fatty foods get me but not as much as dried cranberries. Took me awhile to figure it out because they were my goto snack when I was pregnant.
  • My "attacks" started when I was pregnant with DD#1. I haven't had my gallbladder removed because up until the past few months, I had only had maybe 2-3 attacks per year so though they really suck when they're happening, it wasn't a real frequent thing for me.

When it happens, it is an intense, radiating pain under my right shoulder blade. I can hardly breathe when it happens. I haven't noticed a real pattern with regards to foods triggering the attacks. They have been getting more frequent for me, though. I'll probably re-evaluate whether or not to have it removed after this baby is born.

  • your description doesn't sound quite painful enough?  I was passing out from the pain.  It's all consuming and does feel like a heart attack.  It lasts about a half hour (maybe longer in some?).

I also had sporadic dull pain that I would google diagnosis as liver cirrhosis :)

It is pretty all consuming, I can't do anything except lay down on the floor and breathe deeply until it passes (or hang my head over the toilet or waste basket).  It feels like my stomach is pushing out at all sides and nothing makes it go away except time.  I can't sit, stand, recline, bend over w/o the pain when it's there.  I usually break out into a cold sweat part way through too and then after it passes I am just spent.  Usually I get sick one way or the other, as well.  Sounds like the symptoms I looked up, but it's not happening from fatty foods.  Just random foods at random times.  I ate the same thing the day before and was fine.  Probably doesn't matter much what it is, I can't do much about it right now except for try to eat as well as possible.
