It's been a while since we were the main attraction at the gocery store...

but yesterday we were back in the spotlight! lol...it was kind of funny....it's just been so long since anyone really paid much attention to us (like back in the infant days) so I thought I'd share.

we were waiting in an extremely long checkout line after work yesterday and the girls were in the car part of those toddler shopping carts...an older couple noticed them and asked "twins?" I said yes and she and her husband gushed all over the girls and then started telling me all about their kids and grandkids...and then the lady in the checkout line next to us shouted out "OMG they're twins!, I have to see them!!!" (here is where you cue the spotlite and everyone was staring) and she starts yelling to the girls asking them their names, if they are having fun, helping, etc. etc. and walks over and for a minute I thought she was actually going to try and get in the car with them! 

lol...at least they all had positive things to say...and we eventually got away...

    I am glad they were nice to you but isn't it always such an awkward moment when it goes on for too long?!  ;-)

    Wait, so there might come a point when I can take the boys to the grocery store and not be stopped every 5 seconds? When does this occur? I could really use the ability to go the grocery store for a 15 minute trip that actually lasts for 15 minutes, lol!

    yup!  I think it started to taper off when they were out of their infant seats...then again around 1 year...and since they turned 2 and ride in the toddler car part of the cart people hardly give us a second glance...I mean we may still get the occassional "aren't they cute!" from the older ladies...but that's it...it is kind of liberating when it happends...you'll get there!

    I'm really looking forward to not being a zoo attraction when we go out. Sadly, this story gives me hope. LOL
