Sorry another stroller ?

We are pregnant with twin boys due tin Feb. and just wondering what type of stroller people got for just everyday use.  Some strollers seem so huge and buckly, what stroller did you guys use not only for newborn but also for a little while after.  Any ideas what the best way and most cost efficent strollers maybe?

Re: Sorry another stroller ?

  • i'm known on here as a stroller freak... or stroller whore, lol. I have owned MANY strollers- very expensive ones, and very cheap ones.

My 2 favorite, in each category (expensive/cheap) are:

Kolcraft tandem - so many options, rides really nice for the price, so much storage, etc.  We had this and used it as a DSNG when we wanted the infant seats in...and also used it from day 1 with the regular seats on full recline. LOVED this stroller. only thing I didn't like was that it is very long - and then the BJ CIty Select was launched, and i fell in love with it... so I sold my Kolcraft and bought the Select.

The Select is similar to the Kolcraft- but is much more $$$, and is a bit shorter.  It's a better stroller all around (hand break, better ride/tires, etc) but if money is an issue- the Kolcraft does most of the same things... I just LOVE my Select.

If I could only have one stroller it would be the Select.  I like having a SBS all-terrain for long walks, bumpy terrain, etc- i have the Valco Trimode for that- but would have picked the Bumbleride Indie Twin if I didn't need the 3rd seat of teh Valco.

I used to be Goldie_locks_5 but the new nest is so screwed up that I was forced to start over.

I am getting the Stroll Air Duo - its very lightweight, folds by pushing two buttons, it comes with a lot of stuff, it will fit anywhere thats wheelchair accessible

  • DH and I got the Bumbleride, and LOVE it.  It held the boys since newborns (just recline fully).  IMO it offered the best support, compared to the City Mini.  It is bulky and heavy, yes, but that doesn't bother us.  It drives great, holds a lot underneath, and offers a great size canopy.  The seat pads are removable and are machine washable.  And is fits all standard commercial doors without an issue.

The Stroll Air one mentioned before looks great... wish it was an option when we were shopping.

For me, I think SBS strollers work best for twins.  No jealousy issues as they grow as to who rides up front.  Everyone gets the view at once.  LOL

  • We used a DSNG for the first 6 months and then switched them over to the City Mini.  The City Mini was expensive but I think it was worth every penny.  We love it.
  • Ditto the City Select. AWESOME stroller.

Would also have loved a Stroll Air My Duo when I had my twins. They just came out with a really pretty new green color and the fold is TINY.

I used to have a Bumbleride Indie Twin. Luxurious, nice stroller, but better for outdoor use. Wayyyy too heavy and bulky for taking in/out of the car multiple times a day. Also too big to maneuver in most stores.
