Baby Names

Anneliese

My stepmom's mn is Ann and my stepsister's mn is Elyse. I love both of them dearly, and I also love the name Anneliese so I'm thinking about using it. I am leaning toward using it as a mn also, but what are some good 1 or maybe 2 syllable first names that you would use? Last name would be Walker.

Re: Anneliese

  • While the name itself is NMS (nothing wrong with it; it's just not for me), I think it's a great choice for honoring your family members, and sounds really good with big sister Sophia. Go for it!

  • I really like Anneliese. It's on my girl name list. My option is Anneliese Michelle or Anneliese Christine.

    Other one/two syllable choices:

    Anneliese Claire

    Anneliese Kate

    Anneliese Renee

    Anneliese Rose

    Anneliese Adele

    Annaliese Grace

    Annaliese Corinne

ETA: Sorry OP I totally read that wrong! I thought you were asking for one/two syllable middle names.

I actually think any of the above could be flipped around to make a good FN/MN combo.

  • My older sister is Analiese (variant on your spelling) Marie. I know Marie is a generic middle name, but it fits. Marie Annelise would be pretty as well.

  • I loooove Anneliese. It sounds great with your last name too. Also, if you used a one or two-syllable first name, it would work well as a mn. Any longer than that, and it would be too big a mouthful I think.
  • LOVE Anneliese.

  • I like this. I say go for it.

Anneliese is a really fancy-sounding name, but then she could always shorten it to Annie/Anne/Anna, or even Liese/Lisa.
