How long were you dilated before you delivered?

I know every body is different, but humor me!  How long were you dilated before you actually delivered? 

 At my appointment yesterday, I was 3-4 cm dilated already!  I of course am hoping that my surprise comes soon!

    I was 1cm for 5 days but I had contractions every night from 7pm til 9am the next day for 3 days straight.  My water never broke I just went into active labor, when I finally was in active labor I labored for 12 hours before pushing began, then it was another 2.5 hours before Fenton was born.

    At my 8:30 OB appt I was not dilated, not effaced at all.

    At 10:30 my water broke and I was dilated to 4. Baby was born at 2pm. :)

    I'm sorry i can't answer yet, but WHOA...3-4.  That sounds awesome to me.  Sounds like you are super close!
